Nine films on Foreign Oscar longlist



Nine films feature gone forward to the next round of ballot in the Topper Foreign Lyric Photographic film category for the Oscars.
Sixty-three films, including the Irish-language celluloid 'Kings', had originally qualified in this category.
The ennead films in disceptation ar: 'The Counterfeiters' (Oesterreich), 'The Year My Parents Went on Vacation' (Brazil nut), 'Days of Darkness' (Canada), 'Beaufort' (Zion), 'The Unknown Woman' (Italia), 'Mongol' (Kazakstan), 'Katyn' (Polska), '12' (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) and 'The Trap' (Serbia).
The Oscar nominations volition be announced on Tuesday 22 Jan with the awards observance taking place on Sunday 24 February.
